Silibake Upgrades Its Baking Pastry Mat Packaging

Silibake, a home and kitchenware company in Fort Lauderdale, FL, has announced that a significant update have been made to the packaging of the company's silicone pastry mat with measurements. The packaging can now also be used as storage for the mat when it is not in use. In so doing, the company offers both convenience and sustainability.

"Our old packaging was just a carton that would be thrown away after unpacking the board," says Jeffrey Snow from Silibake. "Now, we have updated it so that it functions as both packaging and a storage option. The mat, in its packaging, can be stored in a drawer, or suspended from a hanger."

While the population of this country is just 5% of that of the world, the garbage it generates accounts for 30% of the world as a whole. Every year, one million pounds of materials that could have been reused are wasted. Unfortunately, only 2% of the entire waste stream of this country is recycled when it is known that 50% of the products that are thrown out could be recycled or reused. This is something that Silibake wants to help address.

While offering reusable packaging is only one small step towards being more sustainable, it is an important one. Every small effort is beneficial to the planet as a whole. Furthermore, the product and the packaging are 100% made in America. Silibake has made sure that all the manufacturing plants involved in the creation of their product also make efforts towards sustainability and recycling.

Since the new packaging has been released, it has already received numerous positive reviews. "They are always committed to improving their product and the new packaging has achieved just that. It makes it really easy to store the mat after using it, and you really feel as if you're making a difference to the environment at the same time."

Silibake is committed to the quality of its products. They want to give everybody the opportunity to enjoy baking and to create the most delicious meals. At the same time, they also would like to protect the planet.
