AndroGel Testosterone Lawsuits: 2,000+ Complaints Now Filed In "Low T" Therapy MDL

Banville Law reports that 2,342 lawsuits have now been filed in the Multi-district Litigation (MDL) regarding the alleged dangers of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) products, according to court documents.

Over the past decade many testosterone therapy medications have been introduced in America including AndroGel, Axiron, Testim and several others.

Certain testosterone therapy medications have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of hypogonadism and hypogonadotripic hypogonadism - two medical conditions which affect the ability of a man’s body to produce adequate levels of testosterone.

However, many argue that aggressive marketing by the producers of these testosterone therapy medications has resulted in unjustified prescriptions to men throughout the US who did not suffer from these conditions.

Furthermore, several medical studies have found associations between the use of testosterone therapy drugs and harmful side effects including heart attack, stroke and other dangerous events.

Low T Lawsuits: Men Throughout America Seeking Justice

Men throughout America are now filing lawsuits against the producers of Low T therapy medications after discovering that these drugs have been associated with harmful side effects.

One notable company involved in the litigation is AbbVie, which produces the popular Low T medication called AndroGel.

The complaints allege that these pharmaceutical companies failed to warn the public of the dangers associated with their drugs.

These lawsuits have been consolidated in a Multi-district litigation (MDL 2545) taking place in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

“We expect the total number of cases involved in the MDL to continue to grow rapidly as more men are made aware of the associations between testosterone therapy medications and adverse side effects,” said Laurence Banville Esq. of Banville Law.
